What is a Fully Licenced Real Estate Agent?

A licenced real estate agent looks after the selling and buying and/or leasing of houses. As a fully licenced real estate agent, you will be able to:

Manage and run your own agency
Market properties for sale and / or rent
Find suitable renters / sellers / purchasers for properties (either as a selling agent and/or a buyer’s agent)
Prepare contracts for sale / purchase / rental agreements
Conduct property inspections and appraisals
Prepare and pitch client presentations
Handle all property related correspondence and statements
Manage trust accounts and business finances

Most importantly, a Full Real Estate Licence allows you to own and manage a real estate agency, and act as principal licensee. You can also work as an independent contractor and contract your services to an established agency.

Course Duration

You have up to 12 months to complete this course, starting from the day we send you your login details.

How Do I Start A Career In Real Estate?

To become a real estate licenced agent, or agency owner in Queensland, you need to do is to obtain your Real Estate License. Check your eligibility with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (OFT) HERE.
Now you’re ready to enrol your real estate licence course with Validum Institute. Simply submit your details and we’ll discuss your career aspirations and which course is right for you.
Once you complete your course with Validum, we will issue your Qualification and Statement of Attainment.
Apply online, or in person, with the OFT for your Licence and include a copy of your Qualification and Statement of Attainment (note: this may take between 4-6 weeks to be approved).

I have to say, I was skeptical about using another training provider outside of REIQ but I wasn't disappointed! The fee was nearly half of REIQ, the modules were thorough and in depth and the portal is so user friendly! The team at Validum definitely make it fun to learn! Victor was super helpful and nothing is a problem for him. I was enrolled in the self-pace online method because I thought I can do it after hours. After 3 weeks into the course, I was finding it hard to knock it off so I decided to switch it to 1:1 face-to-face session to complete the rest of the clusters. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. The private 1:1 session was interactive, helpful and it allowed me to ask any questions. Abraham was my mentor, he not only helped me to complete the course he gave me valuable advice on how to be best agent and communicate like a pro.Thanks guys for an enjoyable learning experience. To be honest it was worth every dollar I paid for the online course.I was expecting to get this certificate done as soon as possible to jump in to the field and thanks to the quick assement and process, I managed to receive the Certificate of Registration in less than a week.There is no single reason to not go ahead with Validum since it has all the information and prompt feedback/assessment system, most importantly their website was easy to use as if a 6 year old can utilize it.The questions/tasks were very straight forward and the information that I had to find in regards to the all the questions were key important.I give much appreciation to my assessor and the Validum team for all the prompt support.Wish you all a continous great success!

From the start the team at Validum, Sarah, Michael, Trent and Wei-Loong, have been a great source of direction and support and help.Over all, the entire course wasn’t that hard with detailed notes, however there were a few things I didn’t like.A large number of links were not working or functioning, which made it a bit harder to get concepts of standards and expectations , but the team were very understanding and helped whenever I asked.I found recording role play exceptionally difficult, but it made me come out of my comfort zone and grow. So it was a me issue, and a new skill I can use later.Pricing at the time was good as were the discounts, the whole operation is works very well.The site was very user friendly and easy to navigate through.8/10 for quality and service.Great job done by a great team.Owen J. Oh my goodness, thank you for so much support!I was in a sling from recent surgery and could not drive to get others to help with the questions that needed another person to do the videos.Trent you are a God-send in helping me with those questions to complete in my recent Real Estate course with Validum. I had contacted Validum and Trent assured me we could make an appointment because of my special circumstances. I had written absolute pages using word talk to text which I then printed out. Trent was on time in calling me and we did the Mr Strik interview which I wasn't confident in getting right but I actually did. Trent boosted my confidence from there. I have just completed my certificate IV in Real Estate Practise online through Validum Institute. It was an excellent experience. The registration was easy. The website was clear and easy to navigate, as was the training literature. I particularly liked that you could stop and start the course, as you needed to and be confident that you would not loose any of your work. The trainers were readily available if you had any questions as were the friendly admin staff. I would highly recommend choosing Validum Institute to anyone looking to complete their real estate certification .

To anyone looking to earn their Real Estate License or Sales Registration Certificate I definitely recommend Validum Institute. It was recommended to me after I’d already completed a REIQ course and I found Validum better. Very thorough course, easy to follow and I enjoyed doing both the sales and Full License course. I recently completed Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice. Validum delivers the best value for money. The course and subject material were structured perfectly in different formats, PDF, Online material and audio which helped me to listen and use my time more efficiently while driving and doing other things and listening to the subjects. I easily understood the concept and requirements and successfully completed a very challenging course. I am a family man, a father of three and work full time. This course was very time-consuming and challenging, but Validum staff and educators made it possible by providing timely support and feedback.
