A Registration Certificate is the minimum requirement you need to work in the Real Estate industry in Queensland. The Registration Certificate course is for those wanting to start in the real estate industry by working in an existing agency as a real estate salesperson or property manager.

Course Duration

You have up to 6 months to complete this course, starting from the day we send you your login details.

What is a Real Estate Salesperson?

A Real Estate Salesperson looks after the selling and buying of houses (either as a selling agent and/or a buyer’s agent). You must be employed in an existing real estate agency under the direction of an Agency Principal. Your responsibilities will include:

Marketing properties for sale
Finding suitable purchasers for properties
Preparing contracts for sale / purchase agreements
Conducting property inspections and evaluations
Preparing for and pitching client presentations
Handling all property related correspondence and statements

What is a Property Manager?

A Property Manager looks after all the aspects of property rental for the owners. As a Property Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Marketing suitable properties for rent
Finding suitable tenants to occupy rental properties
Preparing rental agreements
Liaising with tenants and landlords
Conducting property inspections
Arranging property repairs
Resolving landlord and tenant disputes
Ensuring timely payment of rent
Managing all property related correspondence and statements

What course do I need to study to become a Queensland real estate salesperson?

To be a real estate salesperson, property manager or administrator in Queensland working for an existing agency you will need to study the Real Estate Registration Certificate.
A Registration Certificate is designed for those wanting to start within the real estate industry as a real estate salesperson or property manager working for an existing agency.

If you wish to become a fully Licenced Real Estate Agent where you can work for agencies as a contractor or start your own agency, you will need to study your full Real Estate Agent Licence (CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice).

How Do I Start A Career In Real Estate?

To become a real estate agent, property manager, administrator or agency owner in Queensland, you need to do is to obtain your Real Estate Registration Certificate or License. Check your eligibility with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (OFT) HERE.
Now you’re ready to study your real estate qualification with Validum Institute. Simply submit your details and we’ll discuss your career aspirations and which course is right for you.
Once you complete your course with Validum, we will issue your Statement of Attainment.
Apply online, or in person, with the OFT for your Registration and include a copy of your Statement of Attainment (note: this may take between 4-6 weeks to be approved).

CPPREP4101 – Appraise property for sale or lease
CPPREP4102 – Market property
CPPREP4103 – Establish vendor relationships
CPPREP4104 – Establish buyer relationships
CPPREP4105 – Sell property
CPPREP4121 – Establish landlord relationships
CPPREP4123 – Manage tenancy

These units form part of the CPP41419 – Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.

Real Estate is an ever expanding field. Getting into the field is very easy but bits and pieces attached to it are very important. One of those important component is 'relevant education in the field' and the 'course provider'. The team at Validum definitely make it fun to learn! Victor was super helpful and nothing is a problem for him. I was enrolled in the self-pace online method because I thought I can do it after hours. After 3 weeks into the course, I was finding it hard to knock it off so I decided to switch it to 1:1 face-to-face session to complete the rest of the clusters. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. The private 1:1 session was interactive, helpful and it allowed me to ask any questions. Abraham was my mentor, he not only helped me to complete the course he gave me valuable advice on how to be best agent and communicate like a pro.Thanks guys for an enjoyable learning experience. Definitely worth it to register the on-campus method.

I completed the Cert IV with Validum online. The online platform was easy to use and navigate. Content is excellent and a great mix of theoretical and practical work. Feedback from Assessor was direct and useful with sound guidance provided to improve. Online is probably not for everyone but for those who enjoy self-paced work the Validum platform is excellent.

I was hesitant at first to join Validum as I felt I wanted to be in a classroom as this is how I learn the best. After speaking to Validum on the phone they informed me that I could come in to their student lounge to study and talk to trainers and assessors as well. What a professional set up. The training facilitator Stephen Mc Cann twas terrific . He taught us well and was patient as he showed the correct path. The money he saved me just from his information and correcting my ignorance through actual sales stories saved me more than we paid for the course. We worked until finished demonstrating commitment to following through. The classes were not pressured and everyone was very accommodating. To be honest it was worth every dollar I paid for the online course.I was expecting to get this certificate done as soon as possible to jump in to the field and thanks to the quick assement and process, I managed to receive the Certificate of Registration in less than a week.There is no single reason to not go ahead with Validum since it has all the information and prompt feedback/assessment system, most importantly their website was easy to use as if a 6 year old can utilize it.The questions/tasks were very straight forward and the information that I had to find in regards to the all the questions were key important.I give much appreciation to my assessor and the Validum team for all the prompt support.Wish you all a continous great success!

I am a very time poor multi-business owner and struggled to get this course complete, but the Validum team were exceptional in assisting me to get this done including setting up a day for me to do one on one training with an assessor to complete the rest of the course. They were patient, polite and always helpful even though I had to reschedule like 5 times. The training was very relevant and as a lawyer, I was impressed at the content in their learning portal and how specific and accurate it was, highlighting risks in a very useful and real way for new agents to consider. I'd give this company 6 stars if I could. Highly recommended.

Here are some of the positives of my experience:1) Curriculum: Comprehensive, well-structured and includes many real life scenarios.2) Team: Supportive, responsive and knowledgeable team. A big shout to instructors Trent and Michael for their help :)3) Student lounge: They are just 15 mins from the CBD. I joined their student lounge for a few days. From the start the team at Validum, Sarah, Michael, Trent and Wei-Loong, have been a great source of direction and support and help.Over all, the entire course wasn’t that hard with detailed notes, however there were a few things I didn’t like.A large number of links were not working or functioning, which made it a bit harder to get concepts of standards and expectations , but the team were very understanding and helped whenever I asked.I found recording role play exceptionally difficult, but it made me come out of my comfort zone and grow. So it was a me issue, and a new skill I can use later.Pricing at the time was good as were the discounts, the whole operation is works very well.The site was very user friendly and easy to navigate through.8/10 for quality and service.Great job done by a great team.Owen J. Oh my goodness, thank you for so much support!I was in a sling from recent surgery and could not drive to get others to help with the questions that needed another person to do the videos.Trent you are a God-send in helping me with those questions to complete in my recent Real Estate course with Validum. I had contacted Validum and Trent assured me we could make an appointment because of my special circumstances. I had written absolute pages using word talk to text which I then printed out. Trent was on time in calling me and we did the Mr Strik interview which I wasn't confident in getting right but I actually did. Trent boosted my confidence from there. I am 60 years old and have never had an actual 'career', only jobs. Trent I honestly cannot thank you enough for all the support and guidance you have given me.Michael (trainer) and Sarah who answered the phone were also great supports to me. I recently completed by Real Estate License with Validum Institute and I am extremely pleased with the level of support I have received throughout the duration of my study. They were very responsive to my emails and feedback. I found the study room extremely helpful as I could book in a day to do some focused study and there was always someone there to assist and clarify any questions I had. For videos that needed to be done, they clearly outlined what they were looking for in the questions as well as gave actual video examples to make it easier for learners. Having recently completed my Real Estate Licence course with Validum Institute, I can say with utmost certainty that they are the best online real estate educational training providers. I was very impressed with the level of assistance and support of the staff in particular Micheal who was always prompt in responding to any of my questions and especially appreciated the quick marking time of the assignments, the encouragement received along the course journey. Furthermore, the curriculum was comprehensive, well-organized, easy to follow and well delivered. These are all important factors when it comes to people having to juggle a busy lifestyle, other work commitments and are only able to dedicate themselves part time to the course. What little available time one has at their disposal, cannot be spent on extremely difficult to understand content, a time consuming and hard to navigate platform or assessors that take ages to respond. To anyone looking to earn their Real Estate License or Sales Registration Certificate I definitely recommend Validum Institute. It was recommended to me after I’d already completed a REIQ course and I found Validum better. Very thorough course, easy to follow and I enjoyed doing both the sales and Full License course. Price is very competitive and the Assessors & Administration staff were always available & quick to reply to any questions. You’ll be very happy to study with Validum. 5 stars.

I recently completed Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice. Validum delivers the best value for money. The course and subject material were structured perfectly in different formats, PDF, Online material and audio which helped me to listen and use my time more efficiently while driving and doing other things and listening to the subjects. I easily understood the concept and requirements and successfully completed a very challenging course. I am a family man, a father of three and work full time. This course was very time-consuming and challenging, but Validum staff and educators made it possible by providing timely support and feedback. I did the course very part-time and online and it took me the full year to complete as it wasn't a priority. What I like about their online portal is that you can access any of the modules and complete them in your own time. I'm the kind of person if I get stuck or don't like a question I'll move on and come back to it later - I never had any issues with my answers and uploads saving, which is good as some of my work was done early in the year and submitted much later. You wouldn't want your hard work to suddenly vanish due to IT issues on the providers end - Validum's portal is solid. They provide plenty of practical videos to help with roleplays, example RE forms and extensive learner notes which make everything smooth. Their support team gets back to you quickly. Overall very happy with my experience with Validum Institute.
