A Registration Certificate is the minimum requirement you need to work in the Real Estate industry in Queensland. The Registration Certificate course is for those wanting to start in the real estate industry by working in an existing agency as a real estate salesperson or property manager.

A Real Estate Salesperson looks after the selling and buying of houses (either as a selling agent and/or a buyer’s agent). You must be employed in an existing real estate agency under the direction of an Agency Principal. Your responsibilities will include:

A Property Manager looks after all the aspects of property rental for the owners. As a Property Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Finding suitable tenants to occupy rental properties
- Preparing rental agreements
- Liaising with tenants and landlords
- Conducting property inspections
- Arranging property repairs
- Resolving landlord and tenant disputes
- Ensuring timely payment of rent
- Managing all property related correspondence and statements
- To be a real estate salesperson, property manager or administrator in Queensland working for an existing agency you will need to study the Real Estate Registration Certificate.
- A Registration Certificate is designed for those wanting to start within the real estate industry as a real estate salesperson or property manager working for an existing agency.
If you wish to become a fully Licenced Real Estate Agent where you can work for agencies as a contractor or start your own agency, you will need to study your full Real Estate Agent Licence (CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice).
- To become a real estate agent, property manager, administrator or agency owner in Queensland, you need to do is to obtain your Real Estate Registration Certificate or License. Check your eligibility with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (OFT) HERE.
